Spurred on by a series of physical activities, cultural and educational activities organized by the Olympic Day National Olympic Committees and the national and international federations worldwide, millions of people of all ages and abilities will be moving, agitation, jumping and sweating during the month of June .
According to the World Health Organization, globally, one in four adults are not active enough, and over 80 percent of the adolescent population of the world is sufficiently physically active. We try to reverse this trend and get moving!

Physical activity has been shown to provide a number of important health benefits and prevent non-communicable diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, the cancer, hypertension, the Depression, osteoporosis and obesity. Olympic Day is an opportunity for the International Olympic Committee (CIO) to promote the important role of sport and physical activity in society, in particular its enormous potential as an effective tool for the development of young people and ensure people to lead a healthy and active life. It 'also an occasion to highlight Sport for all projects and sports and recreational programs, community-based, that encourage participation in sport around the world, regardless of age, background or skills.
