COOPERATION BETWEEN UNESCO AND MUAYTHAI BROADENS ITS HORIZONS IN EUROPE
EMF members in Spain, Lithuania, Greece, Poland and many other countries did many projects opening the world of muaythai to girls, schools, people with different abilities and all the others who would want to change their lives for better through sport.
Italy is famous for muaythai among women and girls with the aim to transcend cultural barriers, empower women, and foster social inclusion. The campaign already benefited many girls who found friends from partnering cities, shared interests, and life challenges. Muaythai helped them find confidence to tackle obstacles they faced for many years.
The President of the Italian Muaythai Federation said that all the people involved sincerely hope they can continue and spread this project both in Italy and in Europe as we firmly believe in the values and culture of Muay Thai as a vehicle of discipline, respect for itself and for the other, strength and tradition.
COOPERATION BETWEEN UNESCO AND MUAYTHAI THROUGH ITS HORIZONS IN EUROPE Last week, When UNESCO officials led by Ms Sue Vize Asia-Pacific UNESCO visited the IFMA World Championships in Belarus where they presented to all national federations the advantages of each other's activities that promote physical literacy and access to sport. Mrs. Caroline Baxter broke off the important aspects of how to do muaythai benefit in all walks of life. The members of the EMF in Spain, Lithuania, Greece, Poland and many other countries have done many projects that open the world of muaythai girls, to schools, people with different abilities and all others who want to change their lives for better through sport. The campaign has already received a lot of girls who have found friends from the partner cities, shared interests and challenges of life. Muaythai has helped them to find the confidence to face the obstacles that have faced for many years. The president of the Italian Muaythai Federation stated that everyone involved genuinely hope to continue this project and spread both in Italy and in Europe, while we firmly believe in the values and culture of Muay Thai as a discipline Vehicle, of respect for himself and for the other, strength and tradition.
